Ascent to the beautiful Val Mora incl. 200hm pushing and a rapid descent to Zernez.
After a hearty morning meal, we took the Mauntain bike route towards Val Mora. Sometimes you read that it looks like in Canada. Even if the valley is very beautiful, Canada looks different to us...
We were overtaken again and again by bikers, which were then but finally again not much faster than us.
Where the route turns westward to Livigno, we decided to push the tandem the 200hm on the Buffalora-Alp (30% slope is not ideal for a tandem with luggage) and Italy so to bypass. After the partly again very steep descent from the very beautiful alp we reached the Ofenpass road.
On the asphalted road it went then very briskly downhill! In the national park we liked it very much. Apart from the narrow road and the small part places it looked here for us almost like in the Canadian Rockies.
In the early afternoon we reached the beautiful Hotel Bär&Post in Zernez.
