It is always amazing what you experience, but that you have to go to New Zealand to try something new Greek, I would never have believed. The whole thing started like this. At school there are always social activities posted on a blackboard. From Tuesday to Friday, you have one offer every day. One offer was Mythos Greek Restaurant. Rana's class teacher advertised this event and so we decided to participate in this activity. After school we visited this restaurant or rather the take-away with some other students and we were really impressed! Conclusion of Moritz: Souvlakis are similar but much better than Dürüms or Kebabs! Moritz also thought that he has never seen such a spotless'en take-away.

What are souvlakis, anyway? They look like Dürüms. But the bread dough (pita bread) is a bit thicker. These rolls are filled with pieces of meat (chicken, lamb, beef or falafel), lettuce, tomatoes, onions and a garlic sauce. Mmmmmm,..... very tasty! If any of you readers ever visit Christchurch, do go to the take-away restaurant in Old Sydenham Town, 454 Colombo Street, you certainly won't be disappointed!
