Finally, after more than three weeks of interruption, we continued our tandem trip! Almost in the very south of New Zealand, in Invercargill, we started northwards towards the "Catlins".
Here the climate for riding was quite different from the west coast, a cold southwest wind supported our ride, but required us to wear long sleeved clothes and sometimes a jacket.
Before Slope Point we stayed overnight on a farm with campground and backpacker accommodations. There we met a Canadian, which we met already some days before in Dunedin on the campground. This campground surprised us with the most beautiful shower that we saw so far in New Zealand.
