After the rain finally stopped, we took another tour to the Emmental this afternoon and on the way back by train we loaded the tandem once in a tight space.
Only at 12:30, so relatively late, we started our tour into the Emmental. Some last raindrops and partly quite strong wind accompanied us on the route up the Rämisgummen.
We enjoyed the mostly very quiet route via Tägertschi, Konolfingen, Bowil, Martinsegg and Eggiwil.
After a refreshment in the Erika mountain restaurant, we were in for a rapid descent to Trubschachen.
In Trubschachen we took the train to Konolfingen. The modern low-floor S-Bahn to Langnau caused us no problems. Hanging up the tandem in the old S-Bahn composition from Langnau to Konolfingen took some getting used to. But now we know that a tandem can also be placed in the small platforms at the boarding gates. (Attention: it may be that the entrances in some cars are smaller than in this one!)
