Since April we are the proud owners of a second tandem...
To keep our "normal" tandem and our recumbent bike species-appropriate company, we decided to expand our fleet with an AZUB Twin recumbent tandem.
After more than 10'000 kilometers with our "normal" Cannondale tandem and many recumbent kilometers, we were looking for a vehicle that combines the features of the recumbent and the tandem.
Since this is a rather rare combination, the search was also not so easy - after all, it should also be transportable by train & plane, robust for touring and comfortable to ride.
After much research, two test rides and a long wait, we finally received our foldable AZUB Twin recumbent tandem.
On a first tour in the Black Forest and in North Rhine-Westphalia we got used to the new bike. Since both are not exactly around the corner for us, we were also able to extensively test the folding mechanism on this tour. Without it, we would not have been able to transport this over 3 meter long vehicle so easily on the SBB and Deutsche Bahn trains.
We are now waiting for the summer to finally get a little drier so we can do more tours.
