Last rainy day for now with beautiful descent to Haines Jct.
After some rain during the night we could start in the morning in the dry and enjoy the drive along Lake Kluane. When we crossed the tributary of the river, it was clearly visible at the bridge that the water level used to be higher. Due to climatic changes, the inflow has reduced and the water level has dropped.
When we left the lake, the water caught up with us. From above, in the form of rain. So we climbed two passes in the rain clothes :-/
After the lunch break the weather got better again. So we could ride the long climb before Haines Junction with the rain on our necks relatively fast (rain pulling from behind can be incredibly motivating). Or in other words: "If you find no motivation, sometimes motivation finds you." So we reached the hill before Haines Junction dry and could enjoy a wonderful 14 km long descent to Haines Junction. The descent was so steep that we were able to ride up to 68 km/h fast.
In Haines Junction the camping possibilities at the RV parks didn't seem very convincing. Luckily we met Marthe, Ed and Frank again in the village, who had taken a rest day here and gave us the tip to camp in front of the hostel. The hostel was a real stroke of luck, because the host was extremely helpful. So this called in the (only) grocery store, so that this remained open a few minutes longer, so that we could quickly shop there!
