Long, busy car road to Cathlamet
Since we expected another hot day, we started already at 07:45 at 12°C. Fortunately, it was then only up to 26°C warm. Like the day before, the road to Kelso/Longview was not very nice. From the city we followed the north bank of the Columbia River, where the route was much nicer. On the narrow and winding road it had partly however relatively much traffic. Towards evening there was a headwind as a further obstacle. Nevertheless, we had an average speed of over 16km/h on the 97km.
The evening we enjoyed in Cathlamet with the cyclists met the day before with a wonderful pizza.
